PEER REVIEW PROCESS

MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AIi is a journal with a double-blind peer review system. Every paper submitted to MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AI for publication will undergo peer review. Peer review in this journal is the evaluation of papers submitted by two or more individuals who possess similar expertise to the author. The goal is to determine the suitability of the academic paper for publication. The peer review method is used to maintain quality standards and provide credibility to the paper. The peer review process at MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AI takes place in 9 steps as follows.

  1. Submission of Manuscript The corresponding author or the author submitting the manuscript sends the manuscript to the journal. This is done thru an online system supported by the Open Journal System (OJS). To facilitate authors, MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AI is also temporarily accepting paper submissions via email.

  2. Editorial Office Evaluation The submitted paper is first evaluated by the editors of MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AI. The editor evaluates whether the manuscript aligns with the journal's focus and scope, and whether its structure adheres to the Author Guidelines. At this stage, the editor also assesses the minimum quality standards of the paper, including potential major methodological shortcomings. Manuscripts that pass this stage will be screened using Turnitin to detect plagiarism before being sent to reviewers.

  3. Evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief The Editor-in-Chief evaluates whether the manuscript is suitable for the journal, sufficiently original, interesting, and significant. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without further review.

  4. Invitation to Reviewers The handling editor invites reviewers based on their expertise, relevance to the research interest, and absence of conflicts of interest. The peer review process at MIRAI - Multidiscipline Informatic and Research AI involves experts in the fields of Community Empowerment, Appropriate Technology (TTG), Education and Literacy, Public Health, Sustainable Development (SDGs), Public Policy, and Governance. The double-blind peer review system is implemented, ensuring that reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other.

  5. Response to the Invitation The invited reviewers evaluate the request based on their expertise, availability, and potential conflicts of interest. Reviewers can accept or decline the invitation. If they decline, they can recommend an alternative reviewer.

  6. The Review Process is Conducted The reviewers carefully read the manuscript several times. The initial reading forms a general impression, while subsequent readings involve detailed evaluation and notes. The reviewers then submit their evaluations with recommendations to accept, reject, or request minor or major revisions.

  7. The Journal Evaluates Reviews The Editor-in-Chief and the editor handling the review examine all received reports before making a decision. If the reviewers' opinions differ significantly, additional reviewers may be invited to provide further assessment. 8. Decision Communicated The editor communicates the decision to the authors, including the anonymized reviewers' comments. The reviewers are also informed about the final decision regarding the manuscript.

  8. Final Step Accepted manuscripts will be processed to the editing stage. If revisions are necessary, the author must revise the manuscript according to the reviewer's comments and resubmit it for further evaluation.
  9. Once the revisions are complete, the author must resubmit the revised manuscript to the editor.

If only minor revisions are requested, the revised manuscript can be evaluated directly by the handling editor. For major revisions, reviewers may be asked to reassess the revised manuscript.

Once the editor is satisfied with the revised manuscript, it will be officially accepted. Accepted papers will be published online and can be accessed for free as downloadable PDF files
